A company operating in the Italian insurance market.

Needs Analysis

The need arose during a period of significant transformation for the company, which involved changes in terms of service model, business units, processes and work methods, resulting in a significant shift in culture and organisational practices. To accelerate this change, a new Performance Management System was identified as a key lever, which changed the methods of management, evaluation, and rewards. Therefore, it was necessary to reorient the company’s managerial culture to ensure the correct functioning of the process.

Our solution

We suggested an integrated development intervention, which engaged different levels within the organisation in the development of a new managerial mindset, as well as in the implementation of a Performance Management System with new methods of managing and evaluating people.

Project development

The very first phase aimed at supporting the executives in calibrating the objectives of each business unit and in identifying the KPIs related to the implementation of the behavioural drivers defined by the Management. In a later phase, the entire Management was involved in workshops aimed at managing key moments of the Performance Management process. The approach used was mainly the one of “peer coaching”, through which managers worked on developing a proper definition of the employees’ individual objectives and subsequently on setting up and conducting mid-term and final evaluation interviews. Working at different managerial levels allowed for the creation of a new, effective and suitable Performance Management process.
